I am an Assistant Professor at School of Public Administration and Policy at Renmin University of China. I earned the doctoral degree in Geographic Information Science (GIScience) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). I have received my Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance Concentration from Macau University of Science and Technology, Macau and Master of Science in Mathematical Finance, Computational Finance Concentration and Financial Data Analytics Concentration from UNCC. My research interests are cyber-enabled high-performance and parallel computing, spatial modeling and analysis, machine learning, webGIS, and business analytics. More specifically, I explore and develop methods to accelerate hyperparameter optimization (aka. parameter tuning) in handling questions within a wide range of scientific domains, such as spatial economics, land use land cover, and urban planning. I received the Master degree in Mathematical Finance at the Belk College of Business at UNCC. Thus, I am also interested in financial modeling and real estate investment. I have some publications in the areas of spatial cyberinfrastructure, spatial statistics, agent-based modeling, and geocoding. Also, I have actively presented at several conferences, such as the International Congress on Social Science and Business, the American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting, and the Southeastern Association of American Geographers. I am also interested in data mining and database technologies, I received the Graduate Certificate in Advanced Databases and Knowledge Discovery at the Department of Computing Science at UNCC. |
